Atom Power is looking for an HR Manager who will partner with all teams across our growing organization. You will assess, coach and influence the business as we scale and evolve to help our teams to accomplish amazing things. You are a builder -- Someone who can come in with a willingness and an ability to build HR Operations and Programs from the ground up. You will lead and influence performance management, training & development, bonus & incentive planning, and employee onboarding/offboarding.

What you will do

  • Hands-on, strategic partnership to the business while designing and implementing a scalable HR strategy
  • Be the administrator for Benefits/Employee Wellness: Participate and guide our process in selecting and communicating company benefits that attract and retain employees
  • Manage the annual PEO renewal processes for Medical, Dental, 401k and any other annual programs
  • Lead the evaluation and maintenance of HR systems; performance management, employee engagement, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, and benefits & perks
  • Manage and facilitate new hire orientation, and onboarding experience
  • Develop, implement, and maintain performance management processes
  • Provide consulting in organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, manager coaching, compensation planning and programs
  • Manage compensation through pay surveys, job evaluations, pay budgets, individual pay actions, and pay structure revisions
  • Partner with the lead recruiter on the talent acquisition process, working with hiring managers to ensure fulfillment of open positions
  • Assess training needs and implement training programs
  • Identify internal & external HR Metrics and assess company performance
  • Provide updates to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, records retention administration to ensure our compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Participate as member of the internal Safety Committee and provide feedback/suggestions to the Company Safety Plan

What you bring

  • Experience leading HR Operations in a growing organization (we are a rapidly-growing startup)
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field with 7 years of HR generalist experience
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager (we'd love to see an HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP)
  • Expertise managing performance to Human Resources metrics
  • Expertise with HR and business systems (we use Justworks, Greenhouse, NetSuite, & Google Workspace)
  • Experience in negotiation and presentation
  • Experience in public speaking and presentation
  • Competence to manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
