Job Summary: In this key role you will be responsible for collaborating with customers, product development, and sales to define the product performance requirements for the home energy automation portfolio. The home energy automation product portfolio enables unprecedented simplicity, control and agility for distributed energy resource management (DER / DERMs) and the future of demand response (DR). As homes transition to the incorporation of battery energy storage and solar energy better systems are needed to manage the priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the product owner and, working with sales and engineering, define the product requirements and the product roadmap
- Collaborate with the sales organization on collecting market requirements and sales growth strategies and plans
- Develop and deliver technical and non-technical presentations in support of driving growth for Atom Power
- Participate in and represent Atom Power with industry affinity and trade groups and in associated events
- Maintain expertise on the competitive landscape (hardware, software, networks, etc.)
- Maintain expertise on relevant codes and standards (UL, NEC)
- Maintain constant engagement with the engineering team to ensure proper and timely product requirements input and program deliverables to committed timelines.
- Serve as product owner on an Agile scrum team, regularly collaborating with firmware and software teams to define and approve sprint deliverables
- P&L responsibility for platform/portfolio with accountability to margin, ROI, market share, and other KPIs
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required with science or engineering preferred.
- At least 7 years experience in the electrical industry (utilities, electrical equipment manufacturer, electrical contractor, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience working with utilities, ESCOs, and energy aggregators
- Knowledge of and experience with DER / DR programs strategies
- Customer facing marketing or sales experience in the electrical industry
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
