Atomic Cartoon's parent company Thunderbird Entertainment is seeking a Senior Vice President - Scripted Content (Live Action) to join our growing team! The SVP - Scripted Content (Live Action) is responsible for the creative development of Thunderbird Entertainment’s original programming. They will bring in new projects that align to the Thunderbird brand and oversee their assigned shows through all phases from Development through Current.

We have two companies under Thunderbird Entertainment, Atomic Cartoons and Great Pacific Media. Atomic, founded in 1999, produces award-winning animation and GPM, founded in 2011, creates dynamic, award-winning factual and scripted content.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Seek out and meet with creators and storytellers. Represent Thunderbird Entertainment within the creative community as you articulate the creative needs of the company.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with the broad spectrum of buyers, representatives, producers, and talent.
  • Track competitive projects, industry trends & deals, utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of distributors and the ever-evolving marketplace.
  • Oversee scripted development, manage scripted TV & film content, and sales across all platforms, from broadcast, cable and streaming, etc.
  • Once initial wave of development shows are in production, collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Post-Production, Business & Legal Affairs and Marketing to see projects through to completion.  
  • Work alongside production teams to manage budgets, schedules, and logistics.
  • Partner with Post-Production in the editing and delivery of the final product.
  • Communicate with senior executives regarding strategy, status reports, timelines, and direction of the production. 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Relevant experience in scripted programming at a network, studio, or production company.
  • Knowledge of the agency and buyer community.
  • Understanding of buyer mandates - streamers, premium/basic cable, broadcast.
  • Established relationships with established talent.
  • Ability to package projects with elements that help with the sale.
  • Ability to source a full range of material, IP, etc. from traditional and untraditional sources.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills to create pitch documents, presentations, treatments, producer take pages, etc.
  • Strong analytic skills for evaluating script development.
  • Demonstrate ability to generate new IP and ideas and translate them into high-quality TV programs.
  • Ability to work fast and with a wide range of creative personalities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong time-management, capability to multitask, and prioritize multiple demands.
  • Some travel involved.
