Atlantic Valve Services (AVS) is a full-service safety relief and isolation valve repair center supporting the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Region.  Our team of highly skilled technicians perform a dynamic range of services to include but not limited to valve repair, in-line testing, upgrades/modifications, and turnkey outage solutions to premier leaders in the process industries.

WAREHOUSE INVENTORY SPECIALIST

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Inventory Specialist is to support the Mechanical Services Department with order, shipping, and inventory responsibilities in a team environment, focusing on coordination with service centers to provide accurate and timely delivery and invoicing to the customer.  The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Specialist is to ensure that the daily functions and procedures of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently. This role works closely with the inventory manager and customer service associates to properly package and ship materials in accordance with customer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the inventory manager and order management specialists to analyze and adjust inventory purchase levels based on sales and assembly needs.
  • Maintain compliance with customer requirements for shipping and delivery. This requires D.O.T. certification.
  • Properly package material for shipping. This may require building of crates and skids. The use of hand tools and power tools will be required.
  • Facilitate all communications between technicians, sales engineers, and customer service associates to ensure the timeliness of customer shipments.
  • Manage paperwork and inventory associated with new build in a workshop.
  • Operation of a forklift or order picker when required.
  • Assist with facility related issues as needed.
  • Maintain stocking strategies with Inventory Manager.
  • Assist assembly technicians as needed, based on workload.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience driving a forklift is preferred but will train on premises.
  • A minimum of 1 year of shipping/receiving preferred.
  • High School Diploma required. Trade school and/or other technical training preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in a warehouse setting.  This position may require occasional pre-approved overtime. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Lifting up to 75 pounds.
