Role brief 

As Chief Relationship Science Advisor, you’ll consult Verona with product & service innovation in the field of matchmaking. 

You’ll use your experience to build on existing research in personality & relationship science. You’ll collaborate with our Relationship Lab & Media Lab to develop & disseminate Verona’s point of view on successful matchmaking and fostering meaningful relationships.

Your voice will be essential in challenging existing discourses, driving a nationwide movement to transform how Indians approach relationships and matchmaking, which are currently riddled with checklists rather than core, shared values.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As an expert in the psychology of relationships, marriages, and compatibility, you will be expected to advise on the direction of Verona.
• Research existing scientific literature and develop the process and parameters for successful and fulfilling relationships. Use this research to advise our Relationship Lab
• Develop & continuously build on a Verona point of view on relationships & successful matchmaking. 
• Help build the narrative and share insights on maintaining long-lasting relationships. 
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, researchers, and engineers to help develop and iterate on product features, including a matching algorithm.  
• Advise on the comprehensive development of Verona’s products or services, staying ahead of the market on new releases and features.
• Understand and articulate Verona’s vision to connect with and bring a scientific point of view to the right audiences 

Who you are

• Ph.D. in Psychology or related field— a plus if you have a specialization in relationship/marital psychology or counseling
• An entrepreneurial, visionary, and action-oriented individual who is passionate about working in the matchmaking/marriage space in a high-velocity, dynamic environment
• Have a high zeal for quality, creative excellence, and driving results through continuous improvement and innovation 
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location/Work Environment 

The Vatika Triangle; Gurgaon, India.

We have built a creative space in a top corporate building in a prime location in Gurgaon. The office is on M.G. Road, a 2-minute walk from the M.G. Road Metro Station. Our team consists of creative and colorful characters, all goal-oriented and hungry for growth (and healthy snacks). The work environment is a mixture of formal and playful, as we all strive to get things done while sipping Italian coffee brewed in house.
