Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa). 

Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values.

This is not a traditional cookie-cutter Business Development and partnerships role — we are in search of an excellence-oriented individual who can help us differentiate our brand and carve a niche for our product in the minds of our clients.

Key Responsibilities: As an Associate/ Manager - Business Development the most important component of the role is representing Verona to clients by understanding their needs empathetically

  • Prospective Client Outreach:
    • Conduct extensive market research to identify potential clients.
    • Initiate proactive outreach through calls and other communication channels.
    • Build awareness about Verona's offerings and establish initial connections.
  • Needs Assessment:
    • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and pain points.
    • Gather feedback and insights to inform product and service improvements.
  • Funnel Development:
    • Implement the Business Development and Partnership strategy to create a robust funnel of potential clientele.
    • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and feedback.
  • Training and Product Understanding:
    • Undergo training to gain a comprehensive understanding of Verona's products and services.
    • Acquire knowledge about the market landscape and competitive offerings.

Next 6 Months Plan:
During the subsequent six months, the role will transition towards a customer success-oriented focus, involving client engagement, onboarding, and strategic planning for partnerships.

  • Client Engagement and On boarding:
  • Shift focus towards engaging with clients on a deeper level.
  • Facilitate smooth on boarding processes for new clients.
  • Ensure clients are fully acquainted with Verona's offerings.
  • Up selling and Relationship Building:
    • Identify opportunities for up selling additional features and services to existing clients.
    • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Partnership Strategy Implementation:
    • Collaborate on the implementation of partnership strategies.
    • Identify potential partnerships and contribute to their development.
  • Event Planning and Regional Expansion:
    • Play a crucial role in planning and executing networking events.
    • Contribute to Verona's regional expansion efforts.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Provide valuable insights based on client interactions for continuous improvement.

Stay informed about market trends and contribute to adapting strategies accordingly.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s from a Tier 1  institute (preferred)
  • Business Development and Partnership experience preferred
  • Candidates with selling premium products will be preferred.
  • Ability to use CRM and digital tools preferred.
