Your impact

  • Work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to address commercial issues and craft solutions that advance the business and promote At-Bay’s strategic vision
  • Address legal risk through a business-centric lens, developing processes to solve problems, strengthening partnerships and advancing opportunities.
  • Actively shape and manage corporate compliance, including privacy
  • Review, draft, and help negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
  • Collaborate with other internal and external legal resources to guide At-Bay through complex regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to development of At-Bay’s legal processes and develop areas of self-service to enable both legal and business functions to scale effectively
  • Provide practical, actionable advice and strategic support to executives and employees on a variety of commercial matters, particularly with regard to the launch of new products and services
  • Review marketing materials and provide guidance to marketing
  • Help to maintain minute books and draft corporate documents
  • Stay up to date on general legal issues and compliance, best practices, and recommend changes to the company’s programs or policies accordingly

 

In this role we value

  • JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice.
  • Minimum of 4 years of corporate transactional experience, preferably at a large law firm and/or corporate legal department, representing publicly traded companies is a bonus.
  • Great legal instincts - strong analytical and drafting skills and ability to sift through information and details to prioritize and identify what matters 
  • Excellent communicator skilled at synthesizing and communicating recommendations to stakeholders and senior management in a concise, complete manner
  • Experience with privacy and compliance
  • Team player adept at working well cross-functionally, and with a knack for building relationships and credibility
  • Experience with pre-and post-IPO companies is a plus.
  • Experience with HR and other corporate matters is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful with minimal external assistance and taking on additional responsibility.
  • Experience handling other corporate transactional matters with experience in, or intellectual curiosity for, other generalist matters facing the company
  • Ability to act independently and with flexibility.

 

Location:

  • 220 5th Ave, New York
  • Hybrid work model with two designated in-office days per week

 

Our estimated base pay range for this role is $163,000-$210,000 per year. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, internal equitability, domain knowledge, experiences and skills.
