atai Life Sciences is looking for a Financial Planning Systems Manager to join the FP&A team. 

In this role, you will...

  • Be responsible for the maintenance and continual development of the reporting and budgeting system (Planful)
  • Build a strong understanding of data sets to allow for state-of-the-art reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and the development of internal forecasting models.
  • Create, develop and generate internal reporting and analytical materials for the atai Leadership team
  • Become the systems expert within the FP&A team and wider Finance Chapter
  • Work with the Senior FP&A Manager and VP FP&A to define, scope and implement enhancements to the budgeting system
  • Be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the budgeting and reporting system fulfilling tasks such as cost center setup, hierarchy management, ensuring data integrity between Planful and NetSuite ERP system
  • Support the Senior FP&A Manager & VP FP&A with reporting and data analysis duties such as month-end reporting, trends, projections and KPI
  • Build and maintain central report outputs and be prepared to further develop for functional reporting requirements
  • Track monthly actuals across multiple business units and affiliates on cash- and accrual-basis
  • Perform monthly variance analytics to frame the financial impact and communicate up through financial organization
  • Facilitate formulating global, consolidated budgets and detailed forecasts
  • Build financial models and scenario analyses for the parent company and its subsidiaries
  • Work cross-functionally with internal accounting organization and various business units on finance-related issues
  • Work closely with multiple business units to create real and active partnerships
  • Support implementation of NetSuite system across the organization
  • Be the primary contact for the Finance team on system related queries

You will possess the qualifications for this role if you have: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as the systems expert within a Finance function
  • Reporting or budgeting software that requires high level of in-house development is required (Planful experience is a plus)
  • Financial planning and analysis experience, and minimum of 3 years public company biotech/pharmaceutical experience
  • Ability to interrogate and manipulate large data sets
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and workstack under dynamic timelines
  • Proactive, attention to details and data-driven, results oriented professional with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent analytical skills; with a self-critique/high quality expectation of deliverables, highly data-driven and understanding the importance of both quantitative data and qualitative information
  • Possess a global mindset and ability to understand the nuances of working in a global, matrixed environment. FX, transfer costs across 20+ companies
  • Demonstrated expert-level skills in performing financial modeling, forecasting and management reporting and high impact briefing materials
  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, NetSuite, and Smartsheet
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Language, cultural and time zone sensitive
  • Highly empathetic with an outstanding ability to work in multi-cultural environment
  • Willing to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and to adapt to new situations as they arise
  • Been responsible for public biopharma company boardroom quality presentations and reports – demonstrated strong slide presentation skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and able to manage and deliver multiple projects with minimal guidance
