Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Manager in atai’s rapidly growing Digital Product & Data function. The function spans the Strategy & Innovation and R&D areas of the company and works with atai’s underlying technology and compound companies to support the creation of digital product that will innovate and personalize how mental health is delivered. Our current area of product focus is the creation of our proprietary Digital Therapeutics (“DTx”) for use in combination with our drugs. Beyond this we are also looking at decentralized trial tools, clinician training and other innovative ways to bring scalable mental care to patients.

As Senior Product Manager, you will work with the broader Digital Product & Data function to define our product strategy and then work closely with our underlying technology businesses and atai central functions to ensure our Product Vision is delivered. You will need to intimately understand the patient and clinician pathways that our compound-DTx combinations operate in, and your product strategy will priority stack and solve friction points most important to stakeholders. You will work with our platform companies to understand what product success looks like and the endpoints our DTx will need to hit for patients, clinicians and payors, in order to commercially deliver our solution at scale. You will work with atai’s central clinical and regulatory functions, together with our technology subsidiaries, to iteratively build our Product Vision as we progress through our clinical trials, and you will also look for ways to develop our product outside of our compound trials. You will work with the wider Digital Product and Data team to ensure our product strategy is also supportive to our wider objectives.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and strategic Senior Product Manager who wants to operate at the nexus of world-class clinical protocol, cutting-edge technology and analytics in a rapidly growing biotechnology business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Digital Product and Data team, as well as our technology subsidiaries and central atai functions to develop our DTx product strategy and the ultimate Product Vision we are aiming for

  • Work with our various compound companies to map out the respective patient and clinician pathways and identify key friction points where we should deliver enhanced technology solutions with our DTx

  • Understand the endpoints we need to demonstrate to the various product stakeholders including patients, clinicians, provider systems and payors, in order to successfully deliver innovative new mental health treatments to millions of people

  • Work with the Product Manager and technology subsidiaries in their product delivery cycle from clinical protocol design to product creation and testing, as they build and deploy the DTx in our compound trials and iterate development towards our Product Vision

  • Oversee the testing of our digital product. Devise our testing strategies and then oversee our product team as they source partners and iteratively deploy and develop product

  • Ensure our product strategy is in line with our objectives across the wider Digital Product & Data team, as well as the overall goals and objectives of atai

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 6+ years’ experience in product management roles in the healthcare technology space

  • Experience of putting together and effecting a product strategy

  • Experience of building and launching clinically validated product with an appreciation for patient and clinician friction points

  • Experience of deploying products in clinical trials to generate Acceptability, Feasibility and Effectiveness data

  • Strong understanding of identifying and meeting various stakeholder objectives through product design

  • Prior experience or an appreciation for developing a digital therapeutic alongside a compound

  • Experience of using data science optimize product engagement and functionality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ideally, a degree in STEM or equivalent

  • Ideally, a background in the life sciences or psychology

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams working in multiple geographic without formal authority

  • High levels of energy, enjoys working at a high pace, strong growth mindset

  • Highly entrepreneurial.
