The Reconciliation Analyst will handle the reconciliation process, making sure risks are managed, internal controls are effective, and all regulations are followed. Key duties include reviewing financial data, creating audit reports, and offering advice on how to improve operations. The role also involves finding ways to reduce costs, addressing risks, and staying in touch with the team and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Reconciliation Analyst will follow up on audits and keep up-to-date with industry rules and standards.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Perform and control the reconciliation cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Determine internal control scope and develop annual plans.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document the process.
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
- Maintain open communication with the team and other stakeholders.
- Document, process, and prepare audit findings memorandum.
- Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an auditor, reconciliation agent, or similar.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Excel.
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Sound independent judgment.
- BS degree or next to graduate in Accounting or Finance.
