Job Summary

The HVM PM leads cross-functional planning and execution of tactical changes and strategic initiatives for silicon and hardware products in High Volume Manufacturing lifecycle phase, primarily in the areas of: Change Management, Cost Reduction and Customer Issue Resolution. This role is fully in person in our Santa Clara office. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team leaders to develop and streamline the process for cross-functional review and execution of changes during high-volume manufacturing phase (test program, firmware/SDK releases, product revision changes, …)
  • Champion cross-functional planning and execution of cost reduction activities to set and achieve annual and quarterly product margin commitments such as: test time reduction, yield improvement, multi-sourcing initiatives, BOM cost reduction, value engineering
  • Support quality, engineering and business teams in timely resolution of critical customer issues and manage the implementation of changes arising from the containment, corrective and preventive actions
  • Create budget and ROI estimations, where needed, to prioritize initiatives
  • Keep team, management and key stakeholders aligned on status and path to completion
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Actively contribute to organizational development and process improvement initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • 10 or more years of relevant product/test engineering, manufacturing or operations experience in an electronics product or semiconductor company
  • Experience driving cost-reduction and multi-sourcing initiatives for advanced-node (< 10 nm) silicon products
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Program Manager, PMP certification is a plus
  • Technical appreciation of ASIC and/or Hardware engineering and production workflows
  • Program management and analytical skills, ability to organize information for internal and external consumption.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Atlassian Tools and JIRA Scrum Methodologies as well as using work breakdown structure to identify objectives and milestones.
  • Able to motivate and energize teams and lead by influence in a matrixed organization
  • Able to take timely decisions with limited or incomplete information
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to keep calm and make progress in high stress situations
  • Ability to travel to Astera Labs’ sites as required

The base salary range is $160,000 - $240,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions
