    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to locate and resolve faults.
    • Collaborate with design engineers to recommend and implement modifications to PCBAs to improve performance or correct faults.
  • Failure Analysis:
    • Perform root cause analysis on PCBAs that fail testing or exhibit defects, and document findings.
    • Provide detailed failure reports and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Test and Validation:
    • Work with the test engineering team to develop and optimize test procedures for PCBAs.
    • Validate and verify PCBA functionality through a series of tests, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain detailed debug reports, including steps taken, issues found, and solutions implemented.
    • Update design documentation with any changes or improvements made during the debug process.
  • Collaboration:
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to communicate issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Work with suppliers and external partners to resolve component or manufacturing-related issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the debugging and testing of PCBAs.
    • Participate in design reviews to provide feedback based on debugging experience and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in PCBA debugging, testing, or a similar role in electronics manufacturing.
    • Strong hands-on experience with diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, components, and PCB layouts.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, datasheets, and design documentation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
    • Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) is a plus.
  • Certifications:
    • IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721) is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
