We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Senior NPI (New Product Introduction) Planner to join our team at Astera Labs. As a Senior NPI Planner, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the introduction of new products with multiple stakeholders including the business unit, engineering org and both internal and external customers. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand planning to forecast, manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with sample requirements.
  • Provide weekly reports to track Work in Progress (WIP) for each project, identifying any bottlenecks or delays.
  • Coordinate shipments to both internal and external customers, taking ownership of external customer demand and executing on time delivery.
  • Own communication of shipment statuses and delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Join regular meetings with engineering teams to monitor milestones and assess their impact on supporting customer demand.
  • Identify potential risks to supporting internal and external demand and engage with Product Engineering (PE) to mitigate these risks.
  • Create and manage internal orders processes, ensuring alignment with order tracker and forecast requirements.
  • Update order status and commit dates based on inputs from the Engineering Team, monitoring the tracker weekly for changes in demand signals.
  • Assist Product Engineering with initiating probe starts, assembly and test starts by facilitating purchase orders and communicating timelines with the factory.
  • Track factory commit dates for NPI WIP, allocating capacity to support each project and tracking the qualification of probe and test setups.
  • Monitor the status of probe and test hardware at OSATs, local test sites, and on order.
  • Manage component tracking, including substrate inventory and delivery, and ensure availability of other piece parts to support the build plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in NPI planning, demand planning, or project management, preferably in a manufacturing or technology company.
  • Experience in the Semiconductor industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems

The base salary range is $120,000 - $180,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
