Astera Labs Inc., a leader in purpose-built connectivity solutions for data-centric systems, is seeking a Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer in Santa Clara, CA with experience in working with complex electronics design and test instruments.

Job Description:

As an Astera Labs Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer you will be supporting our Hardware Engineering team that designs boards featuring Astera Labs’ portfolio of connectivity products used in the world’s leading cloud service providers, server and network OEMs. In this role, you will be working closely with designers and test/validation engineers to deliver world class products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support electronic laboratory operation
  • Perform electronic rework
  • Manage prototypes
  • Perform equipment calibration
  • Run tests under guidance of engineering staff

Basic Qualifications/Required Experience

  • Associates Degree in electronics or similar field, or the equivalent qualification in training and experience; prior technical lab experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of rework and assembly of complex PCBA prototypes.
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tasks; clean work areas, maintain supplies, and utilize system for maintenance and supply tracking.
  • Experience w/ lab test equipment

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to read schematic/layout
  • EE debug experience
  • Experience with high-speed measurements
  • Experience with prototype tracking systems
  • Ability to configure/setup computers and test equipment
