Mission of the financial reporting group is to manage, coordinate, compile, review and file all requirements listed below on time, with a high degree of accuracy and quality in a SOX compliant manner. General ledger support for special projects such as acquisitions and reorganizations. General ledger reports daily.

Responsibilities of Role:
Prepare templates for various reports
Request and collect supporting documentation required for report preparation
Follow up with providers of information to resolve discrepancies and obtain variance explanations for assigned footnote disclosures
Prepare tie out of financial statements and footnotes to supporting documents for management review on a quarterly and annual basis
Review XBRL tags for SEC quarterly filings and perform validation checks
Coordination of financial reporting reviews with external and internal auditors and SOX team
Overtime is required during each quarterly/annual close and in certain cases of special projects. (Quarterly: approx. 3 weeks of overtime. Year end: approx. 6 weeks of overtime) (Regular time – generally 9am-6pm. Overtime: approximately 9-8:30).

Review of Equity and Fixed Income presentations. Quarterly.
Earnings release and financial supplements. Quarterly.
CFO scripts (quarterly) and review of other press releases. Quarterly.
BE forms. Quarterly.
Bermuda Solvency II filings. Annually.
Bureau of Economic Analysis (“BE”) forms. Quarterly.
Candidate Background
Bachelor’s degree with a business major, preferably accounting
0-2 years of US GAAP/Statutory financial reporting experience (filing quarterly/annual statements and related schedules)
Insurance industry experience preferred (financial guaranty insurance preferred)
Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Peoplesoft general ledger preferred
High proficiency in Excel, Word, PPT
Self-motivated, reliable, and consistent performer
Flexibility and ability to work overtime
Compensation
Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $70,000 per year to $100,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position also provides applicable employee benefits, as well as eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
