About the Role

As Assembly’s Head of Growth, you’ll secure and manage the multi-family residential real estate development agreements that scale our business. You’ll translate Assembly’s vision into clear value propositions that resonate with developers, turning potential into revenue. Building the infrastructure to secure both one-off and pipeline development opportunities, you’ll cultivate high NPS with customers and drive momentum within our growing sales funnel. 

You Will:

  • Own end-to-end development dealmaking for Assembly, operating at both a high-altitude to advise company strategy and within the granular workings of specific projects or negotiations.  
  • Utilize your existing relationships within the real estate development industry to surface and capitalize on growth opportunities for Assembly.
  • Rely on your ability to speak fluently on the financial and legal aspects of a deal in addition to  elements such as construction or architecture feasibility. 
  • Build  lightweight processes that center customer needs and drive positive NPS. 
  • As Assembly scales, potentially build and lead a team of representatives in each of our major markets. 
  • As we scale up and deliver on our first buildings, have the opportunity to give wide-ranging feedback that helps shape everything from the sales process all the way through to the shop floor. 

You Are: 

  • An expert deal-maker, fluent in the financial and legal workings of a real estate development deal. You present as confident and knowledgeable to potential customers.
  • A tactful and effective negotiator with experience turning skepticism into leverage, buy-in, and excitement. 
  • Ready to oversee a growth strategy at large, having cut your teeth working the specifics of individual projects. 
  • A proven early-stage business development leader with a track record of creating the tools, systems, and infrastructure needed to execute on and close complex transactions.  
  • Aware of the systemic issues around inefficiency and exclusion in the way real estate has historically operated. You’re ready to revolutionize our industry with novel technology in a mission-centric way.

You Have:

  • Demonstrated success owning end-to-end real estate development projects, specifically 10+ story ground-up residential developments. You may currently hold a “Head of Development” title, or directly support someone in this role. 
  • Deep familiarity with the levers that create value for developers and an ability to situate Assembly as the industry solution. 
  • A service mentality. You know how to turn closing a deal into a positive, top-tier customer experience.  
  • An understanding of the nuances in different real estate markets.  Assembly plans to cultivate or expand our presence in places like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and St. Louis.
