As Assembly’s Head of Information Systems, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our software and network infrastructure, a unique technology stack that enables both everyday team operations and the cutting-edge tech solutions that are foundational to our building delivery process. You’ll build out our information infrastructure, but also provide leadership across teams from different disciplines, contexts, and locations, all with bespoke needs and requirements. A critical aspect of your work will be finding creative technical solutions to integrate internal and third-party tools into a cohesive technology platform.

You will:

  • Design, implement and maintain a digital infrastructure with security, speed, stability and redundancy. Ensure that this infrastructure supports fully remote, in-person and hybrid workers. 
  • Coordinate baseline IT infrastructure across multiple locations, including our 200,000+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility. 
  • Integrate multiple back-end cloud systems (PLM, ERP, MES, accounting, etc.) through the use of APIs and web-services.
  • Manage day-to-day desktop and user challenges, either through collaborating with an outsourced IT service provider or building an internal IT team
  • Ensure that Assembly’s information systems adhere to industry best practices, relevant regulations, and proactive security protocols 
  • Design, build, and support system implementations across multiple sites, using both  internal and external resources to optimize information delivery
  • Establish and ensure that systems, processes and documentation are compliant with both the relevant regulatory landscape and company vision
  • Work with both the internal Leads Team and external stakeholders to ensure that our information systems are fully executed and ready to support Assembly’s projects and priorities
  • Create implementation plans to maximize resources and enable our teams to do their best work

You have:

  • Systems and network development/support experience in a manufacturing environment (start-up experience preferred).
  • A strong understanding of cloud and LAN-based application architectures and security.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment that cuts across multiple disciplines: architecture, manufacturing, logistics, construction, technology development, etc.
  • A bachelor’s degree in technology-related field OR similar relevant technical degree or experience.
  • A 5+ year work history, including at least 3 years of leadership in business systems and/or IT.
  • Preferably, you have experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics) or MES systems (Tulip)
