Assembly OSM seeks a highly-motivated leader in Manufacturing Quality to drive our quality initiative ensuring compliance to Federal, State, City, and company regulations. The responsibilities include providing detailed analysis of compliance, both internal and external, while developing and implementing a complete quality management program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain Assembly's Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance programs.
    • Within your 1st Month you will:
      • Review & provide assessment for existing NYC DOB/OTCR Modular certification and approval process, including Approved Fabricator status
      • Develop familiarity with Assembly's Digital Delivery content, Supply Chain structure, and production process.
      • Define Assembly OSM Quality Statement
    • By Month 3:
      • Provide independent regulatory guidance to project & system design teams in strategic planning and related submissions to support new/modified system components.
      • Work with the supply chain team to create and sustain a supplier quality program.
      • Research and develop a plan for national registrations and approvals.
    • By Month 9:
      • Take ownership over the process of the submission of applications for fabrication, licenses, and certifications of Assembly's product.  Track, obtain and renew any required certifications and licenses.
    • At the end of your 1st year:
      • Achieve Assembly's Approved Fabricator Status at the System level
      • Oversee Factory & Site QC inspections, including accountable individuals and 3rd party inspections.
      • Develop 3rd Party In-Shop monitor and regulatory oversight program to ensure compliance with the minimum operational cost.
 
  • Oversee conformance with applicable regulations in product development, and help define data and information needed for regulatory approvals in conjunction with cross-functional system development teams.
    • Within your 1st Month you will:
      • Work closely with System Design Teams to identify regulatory requirements.
    • By Month 3:
      • Facilitate research, interpret and report data to regulatory agencies
      • Apply for all necessary approvals and certifications from the governing jurisdiction. 
    • At the end of your 1st year: 
      • Develop policies and organize protocols and training for employees.
      • Maintain a deep understanding of new and existing regulations that may impact the products and processes.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Over 10 years of experience in a quality assessment role of product, at least 4 years of management experience.
  • Excellent drafting and writing abilities
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing field, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Able to read Architectural, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and Technical Drawings
  • Openness to engage in the 3D Model environment
  • Demonstrated ability to engage regulatory bodies and secure necessary approvals
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.
