About the role

We are seeking for an experienced and motivated senior medical/marketing copywriter with the ability to understand complex scientific data and convert it to creative and actionable content. As a senior copywriter you would be part of a creative / digital team and be expected to routinely conceptualize innovative ideas, that deliver content to meets our client’s expectations. You will report into the US Head of Creative Services.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • You'll be a natural storyteller and conceptual thinker, consitently finding ways to crack a brief multiple ways, bringing new ideas appropriate to our clients’ marketing strategy and brand tone.

  • Develop a range of creative implementation for each project and effectively collaborate with Creative Director to ensure design and copy work together to support the concepts.

  • Think beyond our industry, bringing a world-curious mind to your work, translating what yousee into real ideas that hit the strategy.

  • You'll lead projects from start to finish with guidance from Creative Director or Head of Creative Services

  • Source credible information and use it to craft copy that delivers on strategy.

  • Participate in strategic meetings with client and account management to deepen understanding of clients’ objectives and better inform advertising campaigns.

  • Actively explore the Healthcare Marketing arena and know what is happening in the therapeutic area of our clients.

  • Proactively communicate and consult with team members (Medical Scientific Strategy, Client Service, Project Management, etc.) regarding creative work, quality control, MLR submissions and deadlines.

 

About you:

  • 4+ years of experience writing within pharmaceutical marketing

  • Writes clear, cohesive creative copy for multiple channels (print and digital, video, social).

  • Comfortable moving between long and short form copy.

  • Able to present work in a compelling way, can capture and hold attention of audience, internally and with client.

  • Possesses solid, active listening skills.

  • Understands how to use and apply medical references and validate with Medical Editor partner ahead of MLR submissions.

  • Knows AMA style.

  • Ability to independently manage concurrent projects of varying sizes and deliver work from concept through completion.

  • Exhibits decisive problem-solving skills.

  • Actively maintains an understanding of how work moves through the agency. Follows relevant agency Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

  • Ability to establish trust with core team. Develop relationships with account and project management and strategy counterparts.

  • Willingness to supervise freelance or on staff copywriters if assigned.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.
