We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential support to laboratory operations, working closely with scientists and researchers across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily laboratory walk-throughs to ensure equipment functionality and address maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Prepare stock solutions and media, troubleshoot as needed, and maintain accurate records of laboratory inventory.
- Lead initiatives to organize and manage chemical inventory effectively, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform glassware washing, autoclaving of media and glassware, and restocking of consumable supplies.
- Provide basic administrative support to the laboratory team as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory operations and proactively contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline or Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with Facilities/Operations/Lab Management work experience.
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment and familiarity with laboratory procedures and operating laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, autoclaves.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety precautions and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to start a new full-time role in May 2024
Nice-to-have (but not required):
- Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair using hand and battery-operated tools.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting in a biotechnology company.
- Previous customer service experience in any setting.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- This is a full-time 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday, with core hours from 10 AM to 4 PM. The role is onsite, with the flexibility to arrive between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM.

- This is a non-exempt (hourly) role offering between $25-$30/hr. as part of a comprehensive compensation package to include equity
