Arzeda is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in Analytical Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective, openness to current methodologies, and a passion for developing analytical methods to support our diverse range of projects. As a member of our analytical team, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography methods, performing routine analysis, and contributing to technical data reporting and presentations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning multiple industries and to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive impactful results. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and optimize mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography analytical methods for projects. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on method development, optimization, and validation. 
  • Using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools and in turn, deliver technical reports and presentations. 
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues, solve problems, and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance team efficiency. 
  • Assist in technical transfer of analytical methods into manufacturing operations. 
  • Perform or oversee routine analysis of samples and provide training and mentorship to junior team members as needed. 
  • Conduct routine instrument maintenance to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. 

Qualifications: 

  •  Master's or PhD in Analytical Chemistry with industry experience, at the Senior Scientist level typically with 4-8+ years industry experience. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in method development, statistical analysis, and knowledge of chemistry and biochemistry. 
  • Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, liquid and gas chromatography analysis (HPLC, GC), and instrumentation by makers such as Agilent. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities, manage ambiguity, and influence others while contributing to an energizing and positive work environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with an excitement to adopt new methodologies and best practices.

Arzeda compensation and benefits include:
