The Social Media and Design Intern we’re seeking loves design. Our ideal candidate will have a background in social media planning and asset creation (graphic design, photography, typography, etc.), and understand how
to tell unique and engaging stories through various visual communications channels. The ideal candidate for this
role should have a strong pulse on digital trends across media and mediums––what’s happening today and what’s happening next––to ultimately bring a fresh perspective and positivity to the table. What we expect:

  • Create, manage, and execute day-to-day social media strategy, content, and campaigns across social platforms under the guidance of the Communications Manager and Brand Design team
  • Assist with a monthly editorial calendar for social media posts across platforms, assisting with asset and ad hoc content creation.
  • Work with Brand and Communications teams to develop original visual concepts and mood boards for social campaigns based on upcoming agency releases and current trends
  • Assisting with the research and creation of social media style guides and themed content pillars across platforms
  • Monitor, analyze and engage with target audience within social media networks
  • Assisting with drafting and research for communications administration and planning
  • Updating trackers, grids and assisting with communications reporting to agency stakeholders
  • Social media tracking, reporting, and monitoring media coverage

What it will take:

  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced and energetic environment and takes direction and feedback well
  • Graphic design experience, and or/understanding and experience of creating/managing visual social media content and audience development
  • Keen understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, and interest in emerging social media platform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and administrative capabilities
  • Passion and awareness of different types of media including newspapers, magazines, broadcast, and blogs
  • Eager eye for design and/or understanding or experience in one of the different branches of design (industrial, packaging, graphic, brand)
  • Personal blog or experience writing online content a plus
  • Efficiency on Google Drive and G Suite products
  • Efficiency with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
