As a Staff Systems Administrator at Array, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing our hybrid infrastructure, combining on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires deep expertise in Windows systems, VMware, and networking technologies to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our IT operations. You will serve as our on-premises expert, supporting both physical and virtual environments while collaborating with cloud and security teams. This is a full-time position reporting directly to our SRE Manager.

All engineering roles at Array are subject to on-call rotations after a ramp/training period. This position is open to contract or full-time employment.

You Have:

  • Proven experience configuring and managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS/DHCP for enterprise operations.
  • Expertise in VMware administration, including vCenter, ESXi, and NSX-T, supporting virtualization, scalability, and secure multi-tenant environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VLANs, BGP, and NSX-T firewalls for hybrid on-prem/cloud environments.
  • Experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring seamless hybrid operations.
  • Deep understanding of security principles, including patch management, system hardening, network segmentation, and compliance best practices.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and management tools like SCCM, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Nagios to proactively manage system and network performance.
  • A belief that AI is reshaping work, you instinctively use it to accelerate everything you do.

You Will:

  • Manage and optimize Windows and Linux servers, VMware environments, and networking hardware to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls (NSX-T), and hybrid cloud networking to support a secure and scalable IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT and cloud teams to design, implement, and maintain a high-performance hybrid environment that integrates on-premises systems with cloud infrastructure.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot system and network issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system and network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and security policies to ensure operational consistency.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards while safeguarding systems and network infrastructure from evolving threats.
  • Maintain a habit of using AI tools to think, build, and ship faster—it’s your default, not an afterthought.

Pay Transparency: $150,000+ base salary, depending on experience
