What You'll Do
The Operations Product Manager (OPM) at ARC is pivotal to the dynamic development and launch of our cutting-edge IoT devices for defense and law enforcement applications. You are a leader and a facilitator, driven, organized and detail-oriented. You excel in program management, communicate with ease at all levels while thriving in an ambiguous environment. You are adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. You will lead operations readiness and the success introduction of critical components for ARC products, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Role Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact
- Own the operations readiness and successful deployment of critical components for ARC's IoT devices, ensuring that they meet design, technical and operational standard
- Lead program readiness reviews, including overall program status of design/technical and operations issues
- Influence product manufacturability, testability and supply chain responsiveness to achieve low cost and flexibility while maintaining high quality
- Lead onsite operations development builds at suppliers, ensuring successful mass production ramp up
- Communicate effectively in weekly meetings with large cross-functional teams and executives, presenting status updates and resolving issues
- Oversee and manage the supply chain to ensure timely procurement, inventory control and distribution of materials, optimizing resource allocation and transportation
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and reliability of materials and services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Select and implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for use as ARC scales its product offerings
Relevant Skills and Experience
- BS or MS degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required. An MBA or advanced manufacturing/supply chain degree is a plus
- Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain or product environment, preferably within technology or defense sectors
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from conception to completing
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with operational management tools and software (e.g., ERP systems, project management tools)
- Experience managing/forecasting BOM components for PCBAs
- Experience with mechatronics/automation on upper-level box build assemblies is a plus
- Existing or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
This position will require access to restricted information and facilities protected under U.S. laws and regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
