Job Summary:
As we embark on groundbreaking clinical trials and research endeavors, we recognize the critical importance of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. The Prior Authorization Specialist will play a key role in equipping our team with the expertise needed to drive advancements in health outcomes.
The Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist is a crucial part of the healthcare team to assist patients in providing specialized, complex medications for their liver disease and/or condition. This includes obtaining authorizations, navigating financial assistance options, and working with patients, payors, and pharmacies. We take care of the prescription from the time it is ordered and ensuring the patient receives it.
Schedule: Onsite in Mesa, AZ, Full-Time, 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
Compensation: $23-$26 per hour + bonus, depending on experience
Essential job functions/duties

- Assure all PA requirements are complete
- Facilitate labs/immunization completion for patient payor compliance
- Complete HRSA 340B compliance requirements upon hire
- Complete Apexus 340-B online modules upon hire
- Other such duties as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

Experience with pharmacy operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Intermediate data entry computer skills
- Bilingual (English / Spanish), preferred not required
- Ability to multi-task between different platforms, programs
- EMR or pharmacy software experience helpful
- Knowledge of pharmacy insurance benefits

Travel Requirements
- Some interoffice travel may be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.
Education, credentials, and/or trainings required:
- CPhT Certification (PTCB or NHA) preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Pharmacy Prior Authorizations required
