Position: Conference Coordinator – Entry Level

The Argyle Group is a provider of B2B media solutions centered around a suite of editorial and event media. Headquartered in New York City with offices in London, the group operates under four brands: Argyle Executive Forum, the Innovation Enterprise, CFO Magazine and Proformative.

We’re looking for a savvy Conference Coordinator able to quickly build skills in content creation and content management. The Conference Coordinator will assist the conference production team in content management and the production of larger events, as well as own conference production for small or custom events. The successful candidate will be an engaging writer, agile thinker, resourceful change agent, and team player capable of supporting a full conference production department. The Responsibilities:

Content Management

  • Create and build a list of speaker contacts sourced through Salesforce, competitor events, Google searches, LinkedIn, and other sources
  • Update each event website agenda with speaker bios & headshots, and updates as needed
  • Maintain speaker bio & headshot records in company drive and Salesforce

Content Creation

  • Assist conference producers in half day, full day and multi-day events
  • Own full cycle conference production for small custom events including content research, agenda development, speaker recruitment and revenue target achievement

 

The Qualifications (Required):

  • Some conference or content production experience (employment experience preferred but internships accepted)
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, writing, marketing or related field
  • Proven ability to research and write in a way that consistently produces engaging content
  • Excellent track record of meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and business etiquette skills by email, phone and in person
  • Drive to achieve at all costs, with a deadline-driven/high ownership mentality
  • High appetite for change
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on a lean team
  • Desire to travel to hotspots such as San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Toronto and more

 

The Qualifications (Preferred):

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in conference production, content creation, social media or marketing
  • Salesforce experience
