Position: Conference Producer

The Argyle Group is a provider of B2B media solutions centered around a suite of editorial and event media. Headquartered in New York City with offices in London, the group operates under four brands: Argyle Executive Forum, the Innovation Enterprise, CFO Magazine and Proformative.

We’re looking for a commercially-driven conference producer with a proven background in full-cycle event production including conception, community research, agenda development, speaker recruitment and execution. 

Main duties and responsibilities 

Develop agendas.  Collect, compile, analyse and quantify desk research to delegate interview, research call, draft innovative programmes that meet the needs of the target audience. Organise panels, workshops and case studies that are catered to meet the needs of the desired audience.You are the key to ensuring the agenda development is managed and aligned to the production schedule.  

Recruit, secure and engage with speakers.  You assemble a target list of hot companies (new & innovative up to blue chip) and industry-leading executive employees.  You have the ability to market and pitch agendas and themes to generate interest in being part of our innovative conferences and events. Liaise with speakers to develop and fine-tune presentations aiming to generate a quality, engaging, and memorable content session for the summit.  From the initial speaker recruitment right through to on site at the venue you own speaker relations, building and nurturing relationships with target speakers and companies for future opportunities. 

Enable achievement of summit revenue targets. You are the product owner and manager, monitoring all aspects of summit projects including ticket and sponsorship sales, content engagement, marketing performance etc. You lead regular project status updates with channel partners, continually evaluating and adjusting project operations to improve revenue performance.    

Manage successful agendas and flow of Summits.  You are a proactive collaborating partnering on site with the Event Management team to ensure the conference logistics are in place and running smoothly. You will be responsible for liaising with and act as on-site contact for all speakers, as well as the conference chair, while tracking the successful flow of the event day agenda. 

Drive demand by researching and applying commercial market knowledge to content development. You keep up to date with trends and current topics relevant to the target summit market. You understand what high-value resources are and how to best utilise these to ensure a successful conference. You are an expert networker and you are able to assemble and leverage a network of business executives in the target industry to further identify and vet current topical trends, innovations, and evolutions in the sector. 

You are an out of the box thinker, who has the ability to use your industry understanding and insights to identify new channels to move into, and new launch opportunities. You enjoy working individually and as part of a wider team to get new conference concepts launched. You enjoy researching around these new topic areas and ensuring that your ideas are well thought out and planned in order to build project plans for events in 2020.

  • Degree in either Communications, English, History or a similar field
