Position: Senior Event Marketing  Manager

Reports to: Associate Director, Marketing 

Location: New York City

Argyle Group is a provider of B2B media solutions centered around a suite of editorial and event media. Headquartered in New York City with offices in London, the group operates under four brands: Argyle Executive Forum, the Innovation Enterprise, CFO Magazine and Proformative.

We’re looking for an experienced senior marketing  professional, with a proven track record of developing communities with senior level business leaders. The successful candidate will formulate marketing strategies, execute marketing activities and provide customer service to achieve attendee goals for your community.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop formal marketing plans and set-back schedules outlining direct marketing and database tactics, including: budget, audience segmentation, messaging/positioning, channel and touch strategies to achieve event audience goals for assigned events
  • Serve as an expert within the community that you manage including developments and changes taking place, trending topics, and current challenges
  • Research, understand, and apply knowledge of the competitive landscape to identify positioning and growth opportunities
  • Work with the content team to identify and build partnerships with media partners
  • Ensure effective email marketing tactical execution leveraging marketing automation
  • Develop lead generation strategy for assigned community and work with Database Management to identify appropriate vendors and manage their use
  • Contribute to development and execution of the inbound strategy (search, PPC social media and content) for assigned communities
  • Manage event confirmation process and approvals for assigned events
  • Create on-going reports and analysis for communities under your territory
  • Work closely with content, event management and client services in developing and executing strategies

 

The Qualifications (Required):

  • 2 years of experience with event marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or similar
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with marketing automation systems
  • Proven writing skill with high-quality writing examples
  • Exceptional communication and business etiquette skills by email, phone and in person
  • Drive to achieve at all costs, with a deadline-driven/high ownership mentality
  • Proven track record of strong time management and organizational skills
  • High appetite for change
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on a lean team
  • Desire to travel up to 2 times a month to hotspots such as San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Dallas and more
  • Salesforce experience

 

The Qualifications (Preferred):

  • 2+ years of experience with event marketing
  • Previous experience with C-level audience
