Position: Event Manager

Reports to: Associate Director, Event Management

Location: New York City

 

Argyle Group is a provider of B2B media solutions centered around a suite of editorial and event media. Headquartered in New York City with offices in London, the group operates under four brands: Argyle Executive Forum, the Innovation Enterprise, CFO Magazine and Proformative.

We’re looking for an experienced Event Manager to coordinate, plan and seamlessly execute professional conferences/events for Argyle Executive Forum and Innovation Enterprise. The successful candidate will have a natural savviness and the ability to use good judgement and grit to produce high quality work under any circumstances. Learning and advancement opportunities abound for the right candidate.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate large and small scale conference event, owning each project
  • Conduct event management activities within set budget
  • Attend onsite events to ensure operational efficiency and a positive member and client experience
  • Work across multiple departments (sales, client success, marketing, conference production) to ensure seamless event execution
  • Apply a detail-oriented approach to coordinating the minute and large-scale details of an event, following set process and using independent judgement to achieve a professional end result

The Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (communications, business or hospitality are ideal)
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role working on event operations
  • Experience in live and virtual event production
  • Some exposure to business practices with C-level executives
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Exceptional communication and business etiquette skills by email, phone and in person
  • Drive to achieve at all costs, with a deadline-driven/high ownership mentality
  • Proven track record of strong time management and organizational skills
  • High appetite for change
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on a lean team
  • Desire to travel up to 25% to hotspots such as San Francisco, Toronto, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Washington DC, Dallas and more

The Qualifications (Preferred):

  • 3+ years of event management experience
