We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Snowflake Database Developer with a degree in Computer Science/Information Management or related experience. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams to develop, optimize, and maintain cloud-based data solutions on the Snowflake platform. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with limited experience to grow their skills in data engineering and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing Snowflake data pipelines.
  • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Support ETL/ELT processes to move data from various sources into Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
  • Support Data Governance teams documenting data lineage, structures, processes, and data pipelines.
  • Stay up to date with new features and best practices in Snowflake and cloud technologies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Transformation tools like dbt, Qlik/Talend, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Exposure to Python, Java, or another programming language.
  • Basic knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Hands-on coursework or projects related to data engineering using cloud technologies.
