Key Accountabilities

  • To coordinate Argo’s annual programme of Coverholder external audits which includes:
  • Data gathering and preparation of the annual audit schedule based on Argo’s risk criteria for the DUA Audit Managers approval.
  • Liaising closely with underwriters, claims managers, brokers, external audit firms and other managing agents to coordinate and commission external audits.
  • Managing the audit team’s day to day administration tasks (included but not limited to data entry into internal systems as well as Lloyds DAM, production of relevant pre-audit information packs to external auditors, recording timings audit dates, logging audit reports and sending relevant chasers.)
  • Arranging internal pre and post audit meetings for complex cases and represent Argo at market meetings.
  • Reviewing audit reports for adherence to the Argo audit scope and quality, discussing the results with all stakeholders involved, creating audit recommendation letters for distribution of relevant issues and ensuring that recommendations are followed up and completed.
  • Tracking status of completion of post audit recommendations as per the specified service level agreements and proactively engaging in a follow up communication with external parties as required.
  • Processing audit invoices with Xchanging and liaising with audit firms to ensure costs are justified and minimised.

 

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm in learning end-to-end Audit process.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, building and strengthening relationships within the business at all levels as well as with brokers and Coverholders as required.

 

Skills/Competencies

  • Good communication skills - both oral and being able to write clear, precise and well organised documents.
  • Relationship building - establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Exceptional organisational skills – being able to prioritise tasks and deliver on deadlines.
  • Attention to detail – identifying and correcting errors in data entry or data outputs

 

Qualifications

  • LMMIT preferable although not essential

 

Experience

  • Knowledge of both Lloyd’s and Company Market practices preferable.
