Key Accountabilities

  • To take ownership of pricing and analysis of new and renewal business allocated to them
  • Critically analyse risk & portfolio level data to ensure key performance targets are hit
  • Maintain and develop relationships with brokers & clients
  • To represent Argo’s A&H UW team internally and externally where necessary
  • To contribute in expanding the account in line with the syndicate plans whilst maintaining a focus on bottom line improvement
  • Manage Conduct Risk, regulation and compliance risk associated with the class
  • Actively participate in Peer Review
  • Liaise and assist with the Actuarial team on large renewals
  • To contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures

Qualifications

  • Educated to A-level (or equivalent) or above
  • ACII/Progress towards, preferred

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of A&H product offering including pricing, wording and regulation
  • 3-5 years’ experience (graduate qualified) or 5 years+ (non-graduate qualified)
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern pricing techniques
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (including intermediate Excel)
  • Proven ability to build and manage successful working broker relationships
  • Experience of bordereau monitoring
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Experience of data manipulation/analysis
