Meet the team:

The Test Execution team is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing tests on system level components.  Within this team, the Autonomy group evaluates system functionality in a real world environment. They are at the leading edge of development, working closely with disciplined engineers to execute test plans that adequately evaluate system components against requirements. They work with test engineers to develop appropriate means to perform testing, including specific test software, hardware, interfaces and instrumentation. They are responsible for executing all tests and ensuring they are executed in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

What you’ll do: 

  • Work with the test engineers to develop appropriate means to perform testing, including specific test software, hardware, interfaces, and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot, communicate, and document problems with software and hardware  
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute tests on various hardware and software components and systems with an emphasis on safe, effective, and efficient testing
  • Collect, analyze and report test outcomes in a timely manner
  • Perform the duties of operations from both the left seat (driving) and the right seat (co-driving) of Argo’s vehicles in order to test the AVS (Autonomous Vehicle System)
  • Deliver clear and concise communications when evaluating AVS performance, documenting both its strengths and areas for improvement, all of which enables Argo’s engineers and developers to continuously improve Argo’s autonomous driving software

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Two or four year technical degree is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a testing environment 
  • Desire to operate an autonomous vehicle on a closed course and public roadways
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to span a large and varied workforce
  • Proven self-starter mindset and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Prefer experience developing and/or testing SW for autonomous systems
  • Prefer experience with bug tracking system (Jira or equivalent)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to sustain Argo’s minimum driving requirements. This will be evaluated at the hiring stage and periodically thereafter by conducting motor vehicle and criminal record background checks in accordance with applicable law
  • This position may be subject to additional screenings conducted by third party partners
