Meet the team:

Autonomy Production is responsible for the development and management of Argo’s simulation dataset as well as triaging and reporting on changes in the AVs software. The team provides developers with trends and reports that greatly influence the development of the SDS.  Triage Engineering is expanding it’s team of experts that perform root cause analysis on complicated software issues. As a Triage Engineer you will dive deep into the autonomy system and provide detailed feedback on how our autonomy teams can improve our self driving system.   

What you’ll do: 

  • Analyze, document, and communicate complex software issues at the root cause level 
  • Develop software tools and scripts to aid in test execution and reporting
  • Apply statistical methods to support high quality and meaningful data analysis
  • Create requirements for tooling to that automates issue identification and severity calculations 
  • Assist in the design and documentation of complex cross functional processes
  • Educate teammates on the nuance of the AV system
  • Maintain a system and structure to ensure accuracy and data quality

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
  • Proficient in C++ and/or Python
  • 3-10 Years of experience in a software quality focused role 
  • Experience debugging complex software systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to span a large and varied workforce
  • Proven self-starter mindset and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Experience with bug tracking system (Jira or equivalent)
  • Be able to handle rapidly changing priorities
  • Proven track record of delivering high priority assignments efficiently
  • Strong desire to learn new skills related to technology and software

Nice to haves:

  • Experience developing and/or testing SW for autonomous systems
