The Operations Program Manager role will Serve as part of the Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing team and be
responsible for transitioning our in-house technical skills to a large partner to help build and scale the next generation
of hardware that powers our autonomous vehicles. Responsible for supplier engagement, training, transitioning,
supplier management, build management and actively managing supply chain risks on the field.

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead Supplier Operations Team in planning and executing development builds and new product ramps;
  • Drive manufacturing operational readiness in the factory, leveraging partner resources while managing ongoing
    efficiency and improvement across factories from ramp to end-of-life;
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks and
    changes in schedule or demand;
  • Influence product manufacturability, testability and supply chain responsiveness resulting in low cost and flexibility;
  • Anticipate production and operational risk, communicate and mitigate; Work closely with Suppliers to manage line
    bring-ups, qualification, material availability and quality issues, and secure the right level of capacity based on
    quarterly and weekly forecasts and horizons;
  • Lead regular meetings to communicate plans with cross-functional operations and demand planning;
  • Adapt plans based on changing requirements;
  • Ensure OEM reporting is accurate and timely and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with partners;
  • Manage excess and obsolescence (E&O) tracking and secure destruction;
  • Develop processes to accomplish the above responsibilities and identify improvements; and
  • Be a Quality Champion for the company’s suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
    Engineering, Physics or a related field of study, together with four (4) years of experience in a related operations /
    supply chain management or engineering role.
  • Will also accept a Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field of study together with two (2) years of experience in a related operations / supply chain management or engineering role.
  • Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally to visit supplier manufacturing sites
    up to 35% of time.
  • Previous employment experience must have included:
    • At least two (2) years of experience with technical supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
      for the consumer electronics or automotive industry;
    • At least two (2) years of experience in selecting Laser modules and optical alignment machinery necessary to
      build cameras and LiDARs;
    • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or new product development;
    • Experience with project management skills, including supplier management, escalation and issue resolution,
      template development, and supplier performance management; and
    • Hands on experience in building LiDAR modules.
