Meet the team:

We are building a high-performance SW quality team that is excited by complex engineering challenges and is passionate about making transportation safer, more affordable and accessible for all. This team will be responsible for defining, deploying and monitoring SW processes in Argo’s product development organization. Additionally, this team will support audits and assessments in support of OEM partner lifecycle processes.   

What you’ll do: 

  • Work across the Argo AI Software Engineering organization to build security into our autonomous vehicle software throughout the development lifecycle to tackle safety and quality goals
  • Work with Product Security Engineers to ensure software requirements are properly implemented 
  • Author training and documentation for Software Engineers to ensure software is developed in accordance with secure software development best practices
  • Work with Tier-One partners to establish the management and delivery of security-impacting software
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to ensure the secure implementation of cryptography, trusted boot, key management, authentication, data protection, and secure communications while ensuring performance requirements are also considered
  • Participate in architecture, code, and automated scan result reviews to identify vulnerabilities in software
  • Tackle the topics of safety and quality, from a security perspective
  • Demonstrate that the security related product requirements and metrics are achieved to the Software Quality and Software Safety Managers
  • Define and guide software security best practices and procedures
  • Work with Product Security Engineers to ensure security best practices for development processes are followed
  • Follow the security development work streams to track progress and deliverables related to product milestones and audits

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
  • Strong record working in the field of security as it relates to hardware, software and system-level design
  • Familiarity with software security standards such as CERT C, BSIMM, OWASP or other applicable standards
  • Familiarity with best practice security protocols used in embedded systems
  • Strong engineering communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex engineering issues to a diverse team

Nice to haves:

  • Expertise with ISO-21434, ISO-26262, IEC-61508, and/or security/safety critical system design best practices 
  • Experience planning or managing security related development
  • Expertise with modern systems engineering requirements management practices

Our Background:
