Meet the team:

Simulation is Argo’s primary test modality for achieving comprehensive test coverage and as it’s primary stakeholder, the virtual test team is responsible for designing, executing and delivering end to end test results to the rest of the company.  As a key linkage point between system requirements and test results reporting, members of the virtual test team work directly with autonomy software developers and system engineers to design practical and high value tests that drive autonomy technology forward.  The team is responsible for regression testing and troubleshooting of software release candidates prior to public road evaluation.  Additionally, we ensure the autonomy system is working as expected, communicate problem reports back to the development team, communicate significant code updates to the operational fleet and help to develop and promote Argo safety culture.

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead a medium sized team of Test Engineers in simulation testing
  • Work with system engineers to plan and execute tests around targeted functional areas
  • Lead the team in large and small scale improvements to the simulation testing infrastructure
  • Plan and manage routine operational tasks, work packages toward quarterly goals and other company objectives as required. 
  • Communicate with partner teams on resources and priorities 
  • Prepare and present testing analysis and reports 
  • Interface and report relevant software issues to the specific teams as necessary
  • Improve and maintain testing documentation and processes
  • Report status to leads and upper management on a regular basis

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years experience in an Engineering or other related field 
  • 2+ years technical team management.
  • 5+ years experience in systems engineering or a highly-integrated field 
  • 2+ years experience in testing and/ or validation
  • Autonomy testing experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience working in a simulation environment is plus but not required
  • Experience managing engineers in remote locations a plus but not required
