We are building a high-performance team that is excited by complex engineering challenges and is passionate about making transportation safer, more affordable and accessible for all. Fleet Operations’ essential function at Argo is to safely execute the test and road operations initiatives set forth by our engineering team. Fleet Operations consists of a team of experts who understand Argo’s underlying vehicle technology and programs. The team then uses that information to effectively manage efforts to meet our mileage and performance goals. These programs will provide detailed feedback to our engineering team on how our vehicles are performing.

The Argo Fleet Operations team is seeking someone to join our team as the Vice President of Product Support Operations (PSO).  The PSO team will lead the work associated with concepting and standing up our commercial facing Remote Operations Centers.  These facilities will support the Argo test fleets in all cities as well as customer fleets through the use of our customer support software.  This role will have critical impact to the development of product support operations at scale and provide strategic oversight to the global Argo fleet. Additionally, this position will require cross-functional interaction internally and externally across various teams and future partners.. Our ideal candidate is a master communicator and problem-solver who has experience in developing world-class product support organizations and the people that support a diverse and dynamic team.

What you’ll do: 

  • Concept, drive and deliver on the vision and direction for the PSO team at scale with safe operations always top of mind
  • Build a large team from scratch where safety and performance down to individual team members is essential
  • Partner with the Product Development (PD) and Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) teams to develop and bring to fruition the vision for where PSO centers will be located and how they are operated
  • Function as part of a high performing leadership team and able to build relationships across the company
  • Drive operational rigor and consistency across the entire PSO team by setting, measuring and improving performance against a unified plan and operational objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning, while engaging and leading partners to execute and deliver projects that support the current and future needs of the business
  • Facilitate discussions between multiple teams and broker the right trade offs to achieve the broader business objectives
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to improve overall team performance and operational excellence
  • Present data-driven recommendations and optimize our current go-to-market strategy
  • Report out on key performance metrics with detailed analysis of how each is supporting Argo’s mission
  • Drive documented process development and product support playbooks
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the business


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree, with some focus or concentration in business, engineering, IT or closely related field
  • 10 years of management experience in leading customer facing operations or a closely related field
  • Ability to mentor and grow a geographically distributed, global leadership team 
  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader among our partners and internal teams such as legal, finance, and people operations
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record in vetting strong partnerships with third party vendors to deliver top performance
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders across the organization as well as the ability to span a large and varied workforce
  • Ability to keep multiple vendors and contractors accountable as well as perform on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding and skills with business intelligence tools
  • Ability to manage and prioritize conflicting objectives
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting, implementing solutions, and documenting results
  • Strong desire to learn new skills related to technology and software
  • Occasional travel to remote offices and test facilities
  • Established strong analysis and presentation skills including advanced use of Excel or G Sheets and Powerpoint or G Slides
