We are searching for a VP of Real Estate and Workplace services who will support all facilities and real estate functions across the organization. This role will have critical impact to the development of new office locations and provide strategic oversight to the hyper growth of Argo. Additionally, this position will require cross-functional interaction internally and externally across various teams and vendors. Our ideal candidate is a master communicator and problem-solver who has experience in developing world-class facilities and people that support a diverse and dynamic team.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Argo’s worldwide expansion with responsibility for facilities, labs, environmental health & safety, physical security, real estate and construction, and all food and beverage needs
  • Function as part of a high performing leadership team and able to build relationships across the company to deliver successful real estate and workplace services
  • Able to build trust in difficult situations and work cross functionally to achieve the company’s goals
  • Strong critical thinking ability enables you to extract key insights to make critical decisions for the company
  • Lead teams in a dynamic and fast paced environment with a hands-on management style
  • Create and build workplace services that improve the company’s productivity and efficiency
  • Drive operational rigor and consistency across the entire real estate and workplace services team by setting, measuring and improving performance against a unified plan and operational objectives
  • Take ownership of construction projects and ensure timely delivery from our vendors, contractors, and partners; ensure cost efficiency and eliminate waste
  • Participate in strategic planning, while engaging and leading partners to execute and deliver real estate and construction projects that support the current and future needs of the business
  • Provide guidance and leadership on best practices and safety across all facilities
  • Drive strategic initiatives in facilities and development across the organization including vendor relationships
  • Deliver all operational projects within specifications, budget and time
  • Communicate and provide project updates to all levels in the company
  • Facilitate discussions between multiple teams and broker the right trade offs to achieve the broader business objectives
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to improve overall team performance and operational excellence
  • Proactively identify issues with sites, team members and/or processes and provide feedback in a positive professional manner
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, business, finance or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate real estate, construction, and facility management with superior judgment and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company
  • Expertise in organizational development, space planning, people management, construction management, and program management
  • Be a trusted advisor and thought leader among our partners and internal teams such as legal, finance, and people operations
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record in vetting strong partnerships with third party vendors to deliver top performance
  • Have managed a geographically distributed team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Ability to keep multiple vendors and contractors accountable as well as perform on time and within budget
