Job Description

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Senior Manager, the Account Payable Analyst will perform a wide range of accounting duties as part of the team and autonomously within the Finance and Accounting team. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review all invoices for documentation and reporting.
  • Reach out to vendors for ACH & W9 information.
  • Setup new vendors in ERP.
  • Lead the 1099 Processing.
  • Act as a liaison between Arevon and vendors (over 1,500 vendors).
  • Work directly with Corporate Accounting Team on all Accounts Payable entries.
  • Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments.
  • Accountable to ensure compliance with various controls, corporate policies and statutory requirements in areas of responsibility.
  • Work with counterparts to ensure consistency among processes and support operations.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings.
  • Assist in preparation and distribution to financing parties of monthly operating and finance reports.
  • Willing to travel and work early or late hours as required to support operations in multiple time zones (New York, London, Abu Dhabi).
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision while continuously ensuring alignment of objectives.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Superior academic performance from a major institution is required.
  • BS/BA in Accountancy or Finance, is preferred.
  • We will consider years of applicable experience in lieu of education.

Experience Requirements 

  • Combination of 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in an accounting department with relevant.
  • Experience in a nationally ranked public accounting firm or relevant renewable energy company is highly desired.
  • Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures, experience in shared services center environment is helpful.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and related accounting information systems, or related applications in a construction environment preferred.
