The Position

Arevon is recruiting for the position of Procurement Contracts Manager, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century.

Job Description

The Procurement Contracts Manager will be a part of the Arevon Procurement Team and will report directly to the Contracts Director. The Procurement Contracts Manager will ensure that Arevon’s best interests as an organization are addressed and defended in all contract negotiations. The Procurement Contracts Manager will review sales, services, and procurement contracts, negotiate them within an authority matrix, and work closely with the legal department to execute and continuously improve our contracting profile. Lead commercial negotiations & contract execution for the development, construction and operation of PV + energy storage including, but not limited to, EPC, O&M, master terms and conditions, software services agreements, statements of work, equipment supply agreements, amendments, change orders, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate requests and intake.
  • Develop contract execution plans.
  • Author and draft contracts.
  • Engage in negotiation and collaboration.
  • Conduct reviews and obtain approvals.
  • Execute contracts.
  • Manage obligations.
  • Conduct auditing and reporting.
  • Handle renewals and amendments (expirations, terminations, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage document control of project documents, including contracts, warranties, insurance, and technical project documents.
  • Support contract reporting metrics for the Procurement team.
  • Develop and support the creation of various contract templates and forms.
  • Support tax equity Investor Q&A due diligence processes for project financing.
  • Support the RFP process by reviewing RFP templates, bidding packages, award/rejection letters, etc., to support all company procurement efforts.
  • Develop and support internal processes and procedures to optimize efficient workflows.
  • Maintain a feedback loop with multiple business units to ensure issues are documented and considered for future contracting efforts.
  • Work with other departments to assist with any special projects as requested.

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience independently managing the contract life cycle in the construction or renewables space.
  • 2+ years’ experience with CLM software preferred.
  • Ability/willingness to travel (<10%) and occasionally work overtime on short notice when necessary.
  • Ability/willingness to learn and perform tasks that fall outside of core scope of work.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage relationships with colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to perform in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirited with a team player mentality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerBI and/or other visualization platforms considered an asset).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Paralegal certificate or 2+ years additional legal/contracting experience.
