Job Description 

(1) Maximizing performance of assets through analytics and engineering; 

(2) Work with subcontractors to review SCADA and MET station design and integration efforts;

(3) Lead the implementation of monitoring software to capture project data and perform detailed analysis & reporting;

(4) Aide in the technical due-diligence process for potential acquisitions;

(5) Review technical documents and acceptance test during the project handover process;

(6) Support Project Development team and subcontractors to review/optimize project subsystem designs;

(7) Act as technical lead in identifying and driving performance improvement opportunities via: Technical Management of Wind and Solar assets; Technical optimization analyses of asset portfolios; and Develop, implement, and improve methods for detecting, reporting, and analyzing performance issues;

(8) Keep abreast of the latest PVsyst and performance modelling developments, develop new methods/tools as appropriate, and train team members on any new procedures;

(9) Develop maintenance strategies to optimize performance of renewable assets and identify areas of underperformance, drive improvements and corrective actions via management of third-party contractors;

(10) Continuously evaluate software systems, processes, procedures and drive improvement within the performance and operational engineering teams;

(11) Coordinating with internal and external engineering and construction teams on project substantial completion testing and verifying or running capacity tests; and

(12) Provide technical review of module, inverter, battery, transformer and tracker/racking technologies in support of equipment selection and procurement and build a team to support the reliability analysis of various components.

Education/Experience Requirements

Master’s degree in Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization or a related field.  

Must have functional knowledge in the following: Renewable O&M; Testing; SCADA; Energy modeling of terrestrial photovoltaic systems; Power Plant systems; Strong Plant Controls Systems; PVSYST; MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.

10% domestic travel required.
