Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a seasoned Agile Coach to guide and support a large team of over 50 federal IT technical contractors within a multi-million-dollar program with the Department of Homeland Security. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to implementing agile methodologies to enhance team performance and ensure exceptional delivery of IT services to federal clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Leadership: Implement and foster agile values and practices across the program, tailoring methods such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean to suit project-specific needs and federal guidelines.

  • Technology Integration: Utilize industry-standard tools and technologies relevant to federal IT contracting, such as JIRA, Confluence, a tool(s) such as Azure DevOps (or similar tool) that requires a strong understanding of automatic builds and deployments to facilitate agile processes and enhance collaboration.

 Requirements:

  • Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation (CBP BI).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in agile coaching, preferably within federal IT projects or similar high-compliance environments.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar agile certifications.

As a SharePoint Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions for our federal government clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SharePoint development, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be well-versed in delivering high-quality solutions in a government contracting environment.

This candidate will also have experience creating visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in SharePoint development and creative skills in graphic design and front-end development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, develop, and implement SharePoint solutions in alignment with federal government requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for SharePoint projects.
  • Customize and configure SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain web parts, features, and custom solutions using SharePoint technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in all SharePoint development activities.
  • Create visually appealing graphics, icons, banners, and other visual elements for SharePoint sites and web applications.
  • Ensure consistency in design across all platforms and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Use graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to produce high-quality visual content.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design mockups and prototypes.
  • Optimize website performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint applications.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • You MUST provide examples of SharePoint sites you've designed, wireframes, Power Automate workflows implemented or other design samples when you apply. 
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2019, and earlier versions.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience designing, wireframing, and working on front-end development tools and best practices.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint security models and best practices.
  • Familiarity with federal government IT policies and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and client-side development.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and Power Apps is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of web design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be willing to provide a sample of past SharePoint work at time of application (link to an actual site you've created, a screen shot of something you've developed, a sample of something you've prototyped).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer certification.
  • Experience with integration of SharePoint with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience as a SharePoint Developer in a federal government contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of federal government cloud services and platforms.

This is a hybrid/remote position located in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.  

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Technical Lead to participate in large-scale software development efforts within the Department of Homeland Security including (but not limited to):

  • Implementing features and enhancements for existing systems
  • Implementing ETL pipelines and scripts to transform data and enforce data integrity
  • Integrating data pipelines into data warehouses supporting large volumes of data
  • Designing and implementing reporting and analytics solutions for geospatial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate and lead - as members of Government Agile Teams that develop and sustain software in an agile and secured fashion using the prescribed agile practices following the government-specified sprint and release cadences.
  • Recommend points at which Sprints dedicated to architectural issues are appropriate.
  • Participate actively in architectural review activities.
  • Ensure that Technical Staff has sufficient expertise and experience to implement the prescribed agile practices.
  • Act as the backup Agile Team Lead when the Agile Team Lead is not available.
  • Understand and digest business and product requirements from stakeholders to prepare for the design and development of analytics solutions.
  • Provide technical design, development, and implementation of large projects and/or major software products and solutions.
  • Assist in defining architecture requirements and implementation for the design and development of data warehousing, data analytics, and ETL solutions.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps that align software development efforts to mission outcomes.
  • Lead an integrated team of subject matter experts and IT specialists.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource to the development and customer teams.
  • Act as a team leader in prioritizing group tasks, determining individual assignments, and reviewing the work of junior developers and technical software engineers and developers.
  • Provide technical guidance to developers following industry best practices and customer architectural guidelines and requirements.
  • Interact with customers regarding meeting customer objectives,  requirements, problem-solving, and support.
  • Work with minimal supervision/guidance.

Requirements:

  • Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation (CBP BI).
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Software Engineering/Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years performing an IT team leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in an Agile Scrum environment, creating user stories, and executing sprint cycles and retrospectives.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira (or comparable Agile tracking platform) and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry-leading analytics tools such as: Tableau Enterprise Server and/or PowerBI.
  • Demonstrated experience with Informatica PowerCenter or comparable platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building database or data warehouse solutions using Oracle.
  • Experience using Python or Jupiter Notebooks.
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills.
