THE TEAM
You will join our Development team, responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining our autonomous mobile robots - arculees.. You will be a part of a cross-functional, agile, international, and distributed workforce, creating the best possible experience for our users.
RESPONSIBILITIES
At arculus the Embedded software engineer, together with the team, take full ownership and support in developing, maintaining, and designing the Embedded systems for our robots and peripherals.
Your tasks will include:

Work with a team of firmware engineers to implement, test and maintain firmware for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).

Triage firmware issues, debug and analyze problems, fix and test them.

Be involved with discussions about future features and improvements to existing firmware and test systems.

Contributing to the team knowledge base and generating required documentation.
- Take part in requirements definition.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Degree in an engineering discipline, or the equivalent in experience.
-
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, debugging and testing embedded software, targeting ARM microcontrollers.

Very strong C programming language knowledge and skills.
-
Experienced with Python for testing and plotting data.
-
Some experience with modern C++.
-
At home in a Linux environment, ideally as a daily driver.

Comfortable conducting technical requirements breakdown, authoring test plans and design documentation.

Proactive and comfortable working under your own initiative.
-
Curious and willing to conduct research and background reading on necessary and related topics.

Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team and speaking their language e.g. Electronic Engineers, Functional Safety Engineers and Robotics Application Engineers.

Experienced and knowledgeable with Git and Gitlab.

Able to read and interpret electronic schematics.

Ability to operate electronic lab test equipment.

Confident to propose improvements to existing processes and apply best practices

Fluent in English
