About the Role:

AWN is looking for an experienced accounting professional with a hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting. This is a new position, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, which will take on interesting and challenging responsibilities as our organization continues to grow in both size and complexity. You will prepare various ledgers, registers, accounting records, journals, fiscal reports, financial statements, etc. and build scalable processes to support our continued expansion. The candidate must take ownership and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to establish credibility with various teams. Other critical skills include sound business judgment, calibrating advice and strategy based on the company's risk tolerance, strong organization and prioritization/time management/process improvement/project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop relationships with a variety of people at different levels and functions throughout the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Key contributor role within AWN’s accounting and finance organization as AWN continues its global expansion, essential member of a highly motivated and skilled accounting group, which strives to be a “best in class” organization

· Prepare standard monthly journals and BS account reconciliations as related to banks, prepaids, accrued liabilities, leases, equity and other areas

· Partner with other finance functions like Revenue, Tax, FPA, BU and Treasury functions; process monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and ensure the financial statements are prepared timely and accurately

· Manage daily and period-end FX rates processes; consolidate, revalue, eliminate global accounting sets of books, while monitoring CTA account activity

· Prepare month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, year-over-year fluctuation analyses for COGS, OPEX and other PL areas

· Implement internal controls within GL accounting operations and propose improvements to support evolving accounting processes and systems’ landscape

· Update, develop and maintain corporate financial policies in accordance with US GAAP and SOX requirements

· Compile PBC requests and supporting schedules for the domestic external auditor and foreign statutory auditors

· Assist in the preparation of quarterly audit committee packages

· Prepare supporting schedules for the footnote disclosures in the audited financial statements

· Partner with IT on system change requests, resolve period close and reporting issues in a timely manner

· Perform ad-hoc projects as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

· 5-10 years of solid Accounting/ General Ledger and reporting experience; working knowledge of ASC 830, 842 is a plus

· Comprehensive knowledge and experience with hedge accounting, foreign currency issues, month-end close processes, eliminations and consolidations, SOX controls, internal reporting & analytics, and external audits

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting degree required

· CPA/foreign equivalent/or MS in Accountancy preferred; public accounting experience is a plus

· Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and other accounting standards; conceptual and practical experience in researching, understanding and communicating technical accounting issues

· Experience with ERP/ accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus; Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications, especially with Excel

· Related industry experience preferred, but not critical
