About the Role:

Arctic Wolf Networks, Inc. (AWN) is seeking a Technical Trainer to support our rapidly growing security services around the world. Please note we're currently looking for Technical Trainers to be based out of our following site locations: Eden Prairie, MN, USA; Provo, UT, USA; Kitchener-Waterloo, ON, Canada.


  • Design, create, and deliver technical training in a variety of formats (instructor-led, recorded, interactive eLearning)
  • Rapidly learn new technologies, and apply adult learning principles to distill that knowledge into effective lessons
  • Create hands-on lab activities to reinforce key concepts from lectures
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders in R&D, Product Management, and Security Services to ensure accuracy and completeness of training
  • Maintain and improve existing content library
  • Become a fount of knowledge: answer questions, source training, provide mentorship, enhance the flow of information
  • Create a positive, inclusive, learning environment

  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, a Computer Security program, or 5 years of experience in a relevant IT sector
  • Minimum of 2 years as a corporate or product trainer in high-tech
  • Able to enthusiastically deliver high-quality, instructor-led training
  • Able to sound natural and comfortable recording content
  • Skilled at developing eLearning using Captivate, Active Presenter, or equivalent
  • Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand or a related LMS
  • Effective communicator with mature interpersonal skills
  • Fearless speaking in front of a crowd
  • Charismatic, energetic personality who actively engages with learners

Employment Requirements:

Each successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check and an employment verification as a condition of employment.

  • CompTIA CTT+ Technical Trainer certification a plus
  • Computer and/or network security
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Software development/coding
  • Instructional design
  • Proactive mentality
  • Ability to detect a teachable moment and take full advantage of it
  • Quick-witted or sense of humour with the maturity to know when not to use it
  • Ability to get things done

Security Requirements:

  • Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with AWN’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of AWN business information.
  • Background checks are required for this position
