About the Role:

The role of Senior Manager, Concierge Security manages and matures the operations of our security services. Managers will be responsible for hiring, training, and leading large disperse teams of Concierge Engineers and segment Managers. These Engineers provide dedicated support to groups of customers and serve as escalation points for threat response and security service. The Concierge team is an extension of the customer’s internal team and partners to improve their overall security posture. The senior manager will define their internal processes and ensure they integrate across the broader organization. They will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. You will have extensive experience in consulting, security program management, and managing a constantly growing and maturing organization – leveraging and improving systems and processes to support Arctic Wolf’s growth while leading teams of gifted and driven Concierge Engineers. The Security Services team is full of doers, and this role requires someone who gets things done. This role will require regular (about one week every other month) travel between our SOCs across the United States and in Waterloo, Ontario CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a custom concierge security service grounded in security operations, incident response, threat hunting, threat intelligence, security awareness, and vulnerability management
  • Provides calm and clear leadership during major security incidents.
  • Implement the vision and mission set by executive leadership into the highest quality, scalable and consistent customer experience
  • Ensure all service SLOs are met
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver new security technology approaches and implementation of security solutions with a constant focus on automation
  • Being a subject matter expert on threat hunting, incident response, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence to drive automated detection and response capabilities.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities for quality and productivity growth worldwide
  • Evolve and establish standards to provide a consistent experience to our customers across all our Services
  • Develop and report performance metrics that demonstrate business impact, operational efficiency, and risk reduction
  • Provide support and front-line escalation for any internal issues
  • Work with Customer Success, R&D and Sales Operations to ensure the operations centre has the proper tools and process to ensure the proper delivery of security services
  • Sets the tone for continuing training requirements of key individuals to ensure that the team is prepared to take full advantage of advances in the technologies used by the company to improve and add new services for our customers.
  • Drive requirements for innovation across our security stack to bring all our security relevant data together to allow for full situational awareness
  • Lead the creation of intellectual capital and delivery methodologies of the next generation Cyber solutions and architectures.
  • Inspire diverse teams to deliver high levels of performance and quality results while maintaining morale.
  • Perform timely management duties, such as annual performance reviews, hiring, and promotions.
  • Continually assess active and emerging threats against our customer environments.
  • Lead customers in defining its security strategies
  • Be a pro-active contributor in addressing security gaps and building solutions (methodologies, presentations, processes) to address gaps
  • Champion a consulting-led culture by embracing innovative, highly disruptive technologies that support new ways of working in a digital world.
  • Manage cross functional consulting and delivery engagements that span security, infrastructure design and optimization, workflow and change management.
  • Ensure Security Services is following SOC2 regulation
  • Act as Management representative for support calls with CST/CSE and customers to ensure customer understanding and satisfaction of AWN service
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, and technical goals

Required Skills and Experience:

  • An appetite for everything technical and aptitude to lead
  • Five years or more experience leading Security Operations in a global organization with
  • Cloud and SaaS products. Proven track record of leading Detection and Response (D&R),
  • CSIRT, Vulnerability Management, Security Engineering, or Red Teaming teams. Prior experience managing other managers.
  • At least two years on security consulting experience
  • Knowledgeable of technological trends and developments in the area of information security and risk management.
  • Have extensive expertise in many areas of security including governance, risk and compliance and a thorough understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements and data privacy initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field plus relevant cybersecurity certifications
  • Ability to lead a technology-focused and driven SecOps team, to balance and prioritize across a fast-paced, growth-oriented global environment and to manage the team’s coverage and growth.
  • Proven ability to rapidly analyze complex technical security threats and incident
  • information to be able to communicate business-impacting risk to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading a team responsible for threat hunting, identifying control gaps, and managing multiple high priority in-flight incidents simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects, and exercise judgement in reaching solutions.
  • Deep technology experience across corporate and product technology environments and Cloud, including AWS and Azure.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering analysis and technology via a creative approach with the mindset of an adversary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication required. Must be able to articulate information in presentation format in front of internal and external customers.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
  • Traits include: Curiosity, persistence, relentless, leadership, always play-to-win.
  • Bonus points for a history of speaking at conferences and writing technical blog post

Employment Requirements:

  • Travel between the US and CA on a regular basis.
