About the Role:

The Arctic Wolf security operations platform receives upwards of 100 billion events a day from a wide variety of on-premises devices and cloud platforms. We are looking for a talented developer to lead the team responsible for our internal and customer-facing applications. Arctic Wolf R&D teams are responsible for the full software development lifecycle of their services, including design, development, testing, and production monitoring. This role includes people leadership, process management, as well as individual-level technical contributions.  

  • Lead a team of 3-5 developers in the delivery of high quality, innovative software solutions.
  • Mentor team members, establish career development plans and achievable goals for your reports to support their ongoing growth. 
  • Collaborate with the team’s technical lead to champion a vision for the team’s technical direction. 
  • Work with R&D Leadership and Product Management stakeholders on the product roadmap for the team. 
  • Actively participate in day-to-day team tasks, spanning prototyping, design, implementation, automated testing, and operational support. 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in the software development industry, both participating in and leading efforts spanning the full software development lifecycle, from design to production deployment 
  • Experience with writing production-quality React code is preferred; alternatively, demonstrated experience quickly coming up to speed in a new language 
  • Experience developing containerized services on cloud computing platforms (g, AWS, Azure, GCP) strongly preferred 
  • At least one year of people leadership experience 
  • Experience with modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.) 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
