Archer is an aerospace company based in Palo Alto, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
Audit existing facilities and operations to enable creation of EHS company-wide program
Manage all waste streams (required documentation, budget considerations, consultants)
Hazard analysis and awareness training program tied to access controls
Provide oversight and guidance for construction of office, lab and manufacturing spaces
Ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements and documentation
Point of contact for Insurance and Risk
Hire, develop and lead an effective EHS team consisting of full-time employees, outsourced EHS service providers, contractors and consultants
Maintain personal training to ensure that knowledge and certifications are current
What You Need
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or Occupational Health with at least 5 years related experience in environmental health and safety
Experience in developing Injury, Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Hazardous Material Business Plan (HMBP) and Business Continuity planning
Experience in supporting high energy battery programs
Ability to create safety training modules
Experience with all facets of Lithium ion battery handling/storage, testing, and use
Aviation industry and/or manufacturing experience
