Archer is an aerospace company based in Palo Alto, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
Overall responsibility for the development of the flight critical eVTOL battery and EPU (motor) thermal management system.
Overall responsibility for the development of all environmental controls, including avionics heating/cooling and passenger compartment heating/cooling.
Develop the project roadmap, scope, and schedule
Coordinate with functional group leads to ensure the project is fully resourced
Drive the requirements development process
Drive the systems safety development process
Facilitate the design (concept through initial production)
Ensure design engineers are in sync with systems engineerings and the requirements are complete
Lead the development of verification plans with systems engineering and testing teams
Ensure the drawing package is complete
Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain and quality from first builds to certification builds
Lead the development of verification testing strategies and see your project through rigorous process intensive testing (DO-160G, DO-311A, DO-254, etc.) to enable safe passenger carrying products.
What You Need
5-15 years of engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with battery system thermal management
Experience Designing/Certifying Environmental Control Systems for aircraft
Experience developing products from prototype to mass production
